RB Leipzig need a response after two defeats in four days. They lost 3-1 at Werder Bremen last weekend before Como produced an even more damaging result on Thursday, beating them 4-1 in RB Leipzig's Champions League opener. Andrija Maksimović's goal briefly made it 3-1 in Italy, but Como remained in control and RB Leipzig never looked close to completing a comeback.

There is still something positive behind those results. RB Leipzig have taken 42 shots in their first two Bundesliga games, the most in the division, and their Expected Goals figures are also the league's highest.

Christopher Nkunku is still looking for his first goal since returning, though, while Christoph Baumgartner and Rocco Reitz are among the absentees.

Hamburger SV could hardly have imagined a worse opening to their second Bundesliga season. They have lost both games, first 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund and then 0-5 at home to Mainz, leaving them bottom with a -7 goal difference.

The defensive problems are particularly worrying ahead of this trip to Leipzig. Sebastiaan Bornauw and Miro Muheim are doubts, while HSV have already conceded seven goals without scoring.

The recent head-to-head offers little encouragement either: RB Leipzig have won five of the last six meetings, including a 1-2 victory in Hamburg in March.
