Preview
The first two games of this series have been split and the Minnesota Twins (47-49) have remained in touch with the American League Central leaders. One more game is to be played before the four day All Star Break comes into play and the Twins will be confident they can back up the win on Saturday by securing the series success.
It is much tougher to believe the Los Angeles Angels (38-58) are going to be getting back into contention for a Playoff spot and they continue to operate in the shadows of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Angels will turn to Jose Soriano in this game and the pitcher has put together a 8-5 record and 3.40 ERA in nineteen starts in 2026. This is only the fourth year in the Major League, but Soriano continues to show the organisation that he can be a mainstay in the rotation as he looks on course to bounce back from a slight dip in performance last season.
Jose Soriano has not won the decision in any of his last four starts and he has a 0-1 record and a 6.16 ERA in those, which may mean the All Star Break is coming up at a good time. The Angels have lost three of those four starts, while Jose Soriano has faced the Minnesota Twins three times before and has returned with a 0-2 record and 8.22 ERA.
He will need to be better than that if the Angels are going to have a chance when the batting lineup prepares to face Taj Bradley of the Twins.
Taj Bradley has an 8-3 record and 3.67 ERA in seventeen starts this season having arrived in a trade from the Tampa Bay Rays mid-season in 2025. He had struggled in six starts for the Twins last season, but Bradley has looked more comfortable all around in 2026 and looks an important piece of the starting rotation.
Unlike the opposite number on the mound, Taj Bradley has bounced back from a poor outing in mid-June and he has a 3-0 record and 2.25 ERA in his last four starts. All of those starts have ended in Minnesota wins and Taj Bradley has a 0-0 record and 3.18 ERA in two previous starts made against the Los Angeles Angels.
Prediction
The Minnesota Twins were able to level this series on Saturday night, and earn a winner for these pages, and Taj Bradley could help them secure another victory over the Los Angeles Angels in the last game before the All Star Break.
The Pick :
Minnesota Twins 5-1 Los Angeles Angels
