After a less then convincing start to he season, Manchester United will go to the St. Mary's Stadium to face Southampton.
The Red Devils started their season with a defeat against Everton before bouncing back with a 3-2 win against Fulham last weekend.
What is certain is that Wayne Rooney will be out through injury, but it also means that Robin van Persie can establish himself as the club's number 1 striker.
And United must not take Southampton lightly as the Saints lost narrowly to Manchester City 3-2 on the opening day. But then they were beaten by Wigan 2-0 at home last weekend and will not want to lose their third match in a row now.
With trips to Arsenal and Everton lined up later in the month, the pressure is on for the newly promoted side. However, it's worth remembering that when these teams met in the FA Cup in 2011 they were separated by two divisions.

Southampton's two new signings are unlikely to feature today. Japan defender Maya Yoshida, who captained his country at the Olympics, is back in his native country to play in the upcoming internationals.
Zambia striker Emmanuel Mayuka is also unlikely to feature after signing during the week, while former Chelsea trainee Jack Cork (ankle) remains doubtful. Other than that Adkins has a strong squad to select from.

Jonny Evans is set to return for Manchester United's trip to Southampton today. Evans has recovered from a summer ankle operation and will partner Nemanja Vidic in central defence.
However the likes of Phil Jones (back) and Rio Ferdinand (groin) are back in training but unlikely to be involved, while Wayne Rooney (thigh), Ashley Young (knee) and Chris Smalling (foot) are all out.
