I think we should keep faith with Hull City for this one, because now they have home advantage against a team that do not travel well. Hull trail by just the 1 goal, and can go through if they beat Lokeren.
Lokeren are not the most prolific side around. They have failed to score in 3 of their 6 competitive games this season. They are 1-0 up from the 1st leg but it took a howler from the Tigers goalkeeper for the Belgian side to get a goal. They could do no more, which means Hull have a very good chance. Lokeren, as I said, do not travel well. They are coming off a 1-0 loss at Cercle Brugge, which means they have played 3 away games in Belgium without winning nor even scoring a single goal, losing 2 and drawing the other.
Hull City impressed with their defence in the first Premier League of the game, going to QPR and blanking them 1-0. They have since suffered that unfortunate loss in Belgium but recovered to grab a very good 1-1 draw against Stoke City.
For me, this game hinges on what Hull City can do in defence. They are much, much better than Lokeren, and were unlucky to lose, but they can make amends here. Lokeren may have played a few more games, but Hull City play in arguably the toughest league in the world and will be ready to give them hell at the KC Stadium.
