Introduction:
Both teams played in the Champions League and have finished third in their group and as a result are in the Europa League. In the first leg it was ovvious that Napoli was not too interested in this Cup by the fact they did not field their strongest side. Leipzig used it to their advantage and won by 3-1. Now it does seems like the tie is settled although it would be foolish to write off Napoli. Last weekend Napoli won in Serie A while Leipzig suffered a defeat.

In the first leg away Leipzig took full advantage that Napoli did not play their strongest side and came away 3-1 winners. They are now struggling to qualify for the Champions League in their domestic championships and after playing Frankfurt on Monday they could now be tired after losing that match by 2-1.
The win against Napoli was their third in a row and the fourth consecutive match they did not lose. However on Monday night football against Frankfurt that all ended when they were beaten away from home. They took the lead in that match but then they conceded two goals and was unable to recover and lost the game. In that match Ti.Werner and Y.Poulsen were left on the bench, while Kampl and Brume were not in the team.
As for the team news now we could see Kampl and Brume start now as well as Ti.Werner and Forsberg.
Napoli
Napoli are now giving full focus to Serie A where they are battling against Juventus for the title and they are separated by just a point. They know that the Europa League is a dustraction and that was the reason they sent a mixed team in that match that even managed to take the lead in that game in the second half but later they dropped in form and now they have a tough task to recover in the return leg.
Last Sunday they played with their strongest side against SPAL, but their game was not at their best at the start of the game. They managed to win but it was a by a slim 1-0 victory. But they managed their aim which was to win the match and they are still in first place in the standings.
Considering that they played with a mixed team against Leipzig, we could now see changes here but they are not likely to play with their strongest side.
