Even though Barcelona are the Champions, but this is the El Clasico and Real Madrid will not want to get beaten in this match that is for sure. In their last three home games they have beaten the likes of Athletic Bilbao 2-0, Leganes 3-1 and and Valencia 2-1. As for the team news, Iniesta is a doubt but he could start this match.
Real Madrid:
Real Madrid had a bad start to their season so they were clearly not going to be able to defend the title they won last season. They lost some games they should never have so by then Barcelona's advantage at the top just got bigger and bigger. Then Real Madrid shifted their attention to the Champions League which they were also the holders and now they will want to win it for the third time in a row.
In the Champions League they eliminated the likes of PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich. The tie with Juventus were not an easy match as well as the match with Bayern Munich. They have neglected the La Liga which is understandable as they want the Champiuons League but make no mistake they will not want to lose twice in a row to Barcelona this season. The Champions League final with Liverpool is still far away so they do not need to rest players ahead of this match. However the likes of Isco and Varan are rated doubtful while Carvajal could also miss out.
Real Madrid do have a good away form with 10 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats. They have won 5 out of their last 6 games and have won their last three away games beating the likes of Eibar 2-1, Las Palmas 3-0 and Malaga by 2-1.
