This is a match between two teams who were not expected to be so high in the standings clash this Sunday in the 15th round of La Liga. The visitors Levante are in sixth spot with two points less then Real Madrid before this round, while Eibar are in 12th spot with three points less then Levante.
Last week Levante passed further in the Copa del Rey, while Eibar are eliminated after they were beaten in the last qualifying round, which Levante won.

After a run of three good results which the highlight was the 3-0 home win over Real Madrid, Eibar then played poorly in their next two games and failed to win in those matches.
Against Rayo Vallecano, Eibar were beaten by 0-1 despite dominating the match before and after they conceded the goal. Their attack simply failed and their strikers could not hit the back of the net.
It is likely that after they win over Real Madrid they were physically and emotionally exhausted. Also coach Mendilibar changed their formation a little bit and that was why Diop was in midfield. Surprisingly Kike was on the bench ans that did not turned out well in the end.
Eibar also fared poorly in the Cup and they were beaten 2-0 in Gijon. They only managed a 2-2 draw at home with Sporting Gijon and that was with a changed lineup.
Now Eibar will not have the services of Jordan as he is suspended.
Levante
Levante had a bad start to their season and they failed to win in their first five matches. Then they started playing better and they are now in sixth in the standings.
Levante also passed further in the Cup. They had a great run of four wins and five matches without defeat before they suffered a defeat at home to Real Sociedad. That defeat did not throw them off rhythm and they managed to beat Huesca by 2-0 and then in the last round they beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0.
That win has restored their confidence and they beat Lugo 2-0 in the Cup. That was good enough to go further after the managed a 1-1 draw away from home. It was not an easy win and Levante scored both goals in the last ten minutes of the game, however even a 0-0 draw was good enough, which was why they patiently waited for their chances.
Levante did not have most of their first team players in that match and only Cabaco and Rober started that match.
Now for the team news we could see the same team that beat Athletic Bilbao to start as they do not have any problems with injuries or suspensions.
