Basel will be going in search of a fourth consecutive win in the Swiss Super League when they play host to Lausanne at their St. Jakob-Park following recent victories gained over Winterthur 5-0, Yverdon Sport 4-1 and Servette 3-1.
The hosts had previously suffered back-to-back defeats in the domestic top flight from towards the end of September having slipped to losses against Zurich and Luzern, but Basel have certainly clicked back into gear in subsequent matches.

Having registered five wins from their last six games overall in the domestic top flight, Lausanne will fancy their chances of toppling the league leaders Basel here in their own backyard of their St. Jakob-Park.
Recent victories chalked up against Winterthur, Grasshoppers, Yverdon Sport, Servette and Sion will certainly give the visitors plenty of confidence ahead of facing the top of the table team but it’s worth mentioning that four of these five wins have been achieved on home soil at their Stade de la Tuilière.
However, although they have enjoyed a successful period of form in recent weeks, Lausanne have managed to pick up just one win from their previous seven outings on the road, whilst also being dealt four defeats in the process.
