Finishing above Azerbaijan in the Nations League Group has ensured that Estonia will be playing in League C of that competition again and that should aid the development of the team. Facing better opponents may be challenging, but Estonia should take heart from nations like Finland and Iceland who have benefited from that in recent years.
The most immediate ambition for Estonia may be finding a way to the European Championship Finals with the expanded format used in that continental tournament, but getting to a World Cup is extremely difficult. The last of those appearances came all the way back at Euro 2000, but Norway's crunching win over Italy on Match Day 3 has put them in complete control of this Qualifying Group. They are 3 points clear of Israel having already beaten them 2-4 on neutral ground, while the key is the 9 point lead over Italy, even if the latter and top Seed have two games in hand.
Norway's recent underachievement is perhaps underlined by the fact they have been playing in League B of the Nations League for three straight editions. However, they have been Promoted into League A for the next running of that tournament, and Norway have won 5 in a row in all competitions since being thumped 5-1 in Austria in the Nations League.

Prediction
The scoring power of Norway has impressed through the first three World Cup Qualifiers and the thumping victory over Italy, their main rivals for top spot, has put the team in control of the Group.
Letting that slip on Match Day 4 would be a real disappointment and a professional Norwegian performance will be needed.
Big away wins at Moldova and, on neutral field, against Israel shows Norway are capable of putting things together no matter where they are playing at the moment and the team look set to usher in a positive era for the national team.
Estonia will have something to say about things as they look to slow the Norway momentum, but they have found the top teams in the Confederation too much to handle. The 1-3 home loss to Israel on Match Day 3 is a blow and Estonia also suffered two heavy defeats to Sweden in the Nations League Group earlier this season.
A match played at the end of a long domestic season is tough for the players, and Norway need to avoid thinking too much about their performance in thumping Italy.
