There will be plenty of people associated with Viktoria Plzen who will be wondering not only how their team failed to win the First Leg of this Second Qualifying Round tie, but how they have somehow managed to LOSE and face a deficit when travelling to Switzerland.

All of the numbers in the First Leg were heavily skewed in favour of a wasteful Viktoria Plzen, but it was Servette who came out on top in the only statistic that matters and that is how many goals were scored on the night.

Prediction

The approach that will be taken by Servette may be key to the outcome of this Second Qualifying Round Second Leg.

Better finishing would have seen that First Leg end very differently and so it may be a touch foolish for Servette to sit back and allow Viktoria Plzen to pick up from where they left off.

Having a lead means Servette are naturally going to want to protect their advantage and Viktoria Plzen may just punish them for that.

The visiting team have found a way through the early Qualifying Rounds with a lot of success in the last couple of years and 7 away wins in 8 Qualifying ties played tells its own story. If Viktoria Plzen are even close to the standard of last week, they should create the majority of chances again and this time they may do just enough to force Extra Time by winning the Second Leg.
