The last time Tottenham Hotspur played a competitive fixture, they ended up picking up silverware for the first time in seventeen years under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou. This is still a big test for Tottenham Hotspur, but the fans will be looking forward to the season with a new manager and Champions League Football to come. However, there have been plenty of changes in this part of North London with veteran Heung-Min Son leaving the club and adapting to Thomas Frank's methods could take a bit of time.

James Maddison feels like a big loss and it is up to others to step up, but it could be tough to contain this free-flowing Paris Saint-Germain team on Wednesday in Udinese.
One of the big tests for Thomas Frank will be improving the defensive shape of this Tottenham Hotspur team- we will get to see how far he has gotten along with that already.
Silverware should motivate the players too, but the edge here is with the Champions League Winners who should be refreshed mentally and physically after coming close to winning the Club World Cup. Last season Paris Saint-Germain dominated English opposition in the Champions League and, despite the defeat to Chelsea in the United States, they can get the better of another here.
