What a powerful statement Inter has made in the opening round. The 5-0 thumping of Torino at home was a masterful stroke, especially if we know that no other side scored more than two goals in the opening round. Inter scored five as it was nothing.
Furthermore, Inter is one of two sides that start the season with two home matches, so they can comfortably get to six points with a win here as they wait for Derby d'Italia, their visit to Juventus in round three.
After spending two or three seasons with the same midfield, and same eleven in every game, Inter finally found a worthy successor who would slot right in. Kristjan Asslani failed to make an impact and was loaned out to Torino, but Petar Sucic who signed from Dinamo Zagreb is an instant hit. He can run all day effortlessly, yet has unprecedented flair in his offensive moves and touches. That's exactly what this tired midfield needed. Sucic will turn 22 in two months.
Udinese Team News
In case you missed last week's preview which also serves as the season preview, Udinese is the same team with the same coach, with the key pieces taken away. Jaka Bijol, Lazar Markovic and Lorenzo Lucca, the only three notable difference-makers on the pitch, have departed the club.
Well, the opening game against Hellas Verona served as the introduction of the new Udinese. And it wasn't anything to write home about. In Udine, Verona had much more of the game until Udinese scored from a corner kick header in the 53rd minute. The cheapest way to score, isn't it?
Anyway, Verona responded in the same fashion to tie the score, and the only good chance was created by Udinese in the 83rd minute. That was it. A game with long shots, corner kicks and one chance that actually looked like proper football to a certain extent.
And that was at home against Verona.

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer - Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni - Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Sucic, Dimarco - Thuram, Lautaro. Coach Chivu.
Udinese (3-5-2): Sava - Palma, Kristensen, Solet - Ehizibue, Atta, Karlstrom, Lovric, Kamara - Davis, Bravo. Coach Runjaic.
Calhanoglu could get the nod, replacing Mkhitaryan, to keep both important midfield players happy, rested, and match fit. Sucic is the one who nailed the starting spot so these two will rotate. Perfect for the team, actually.

After having 1.40 on Inter in the opener against Torino, now we're getting 1.33. The decline is about consistent with the decline of quality of the opponent, Udinese is certainly easier to beat than Torino, on paper.

Despite the temptation for the 4.33, we'll simply go for 1.61 here, Over 2.5 Goals, and leave the opportunity open for Udinese to contribute to our needed totals with a goal, if they want to. But what we're really looking for is another 3-0 or more.
