Iceland will begin their World Cup qualifying campaign with this upcoming home fixture against Azerbaijan at Laugardalsvöllur on Friday night as the hosts look to gain an early three points in a tough group which also includes the likes of France and Ukraine.

The bigger picture shows Azerbaijan have also failed to win any of their previous 10 World Cup qualifiers, slipping to nine defeats, so the odds look to be stacked against the visitors on Friday night.
