Go figure, Gian Piero Gasperini turned out to be a brilliant solution for Roma so far -- or was it perhaps Nicolas Soule who was the missing ingredient all this time. The dual trequartistas Dybala and Soule are making things happen, and Evan Ferguson, while no star player, seems to be just good enough.
Of course, it's easy to praise a team that has two wins out of two, with no goals conceded, and these streaks can't go on forever. But Roma is looking good, like a team with a clear game plan, and a team that knows what to do in the final third. This is the reason why everyone is so impressed with Roma, not the results.
If Gasperini is a specialist in anything, it's the offensive third, and with these solid weapons in his arsenal he's doing the same thing he was doing in Atalanta, albeit with a much thinner squad here.
All we can say is that it's looking good so far. Roma will be brought back down to earth at some point, but most likely it won't be on their home stadium, and it won't be against a team such as Torino.
