English Non-League
2025-09-20 - Gateshead vs FC Halifax
A Sports Betting Pick by ArmchairPunter
Football : England: National League
Venue: Gateshead International Stadium

Gateshead will no doubt be keen to end a four-match winless run in the National League when they entertain FC Halifax at the Gateshead International Stadium following two draws along with a couple of defeats.
Points picked up in draws with Aldershot and Wealdstone have been overshadowed by losses at the hands of Altrincham and Woking respectively, but The Heed will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways at home against an ordinary looking Halifax outfit.
Indeed, Gateshead had previously picked up three wins within their preceding four games before their winless run which included victories gained at the expense of Eastleigh, Tamworth and Yeovil Town, so manager Alun Armstrong will be urging his players to rekindle their earlier form here.
Halifax sit in 17th place in the National League standings after the weekend fixtures and it was a frustrating afternoon last Saturday for The Shaymen as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Eastleigh.
Results overall in this season’s National League campaign have been rather a mixed bag for Adam Lakeland and his Halifax squad as the visitors have managed to capture just two wins along with being involved in three draws as well as being dealt four defeats.
Early form away from home has also been disappointing as The Shaymen possess an ordinary looking away record of 1-1-3 3/9 with only Truro City and Braintree Town scoring fewer goals on their travels than Halifax to date.
The Betting Verdict
Halifax have won all five of their previous meetings with Gateshead but the hosts could turn the tables on their visitors in this one.
