VfL Bochum collected only three points so far, and suffered five straight defeats leading up to this game.
They sacked coach Dieter Hecking recently and replaced him with interim David Siebers, who also suffered two defeats. The club is searching for a third coach, but they will unlikely find someone so soon. Plus, no one wants to join a sinking ship.
VfL Bochum’s latest defeat was 0-1 at home against Fortuna Düsseldorf last Saturday evening. Interestingly, all their last five straight defeats were by only one goal margin.
The Betting Verdict
I consider Kaiserslautern one of the dark horses for promotion to the Bundesliga this season. They are stable and excellent at home, but they still need to improve certain aspects, such as away performances and defensive play.
Still, they should do well against terrible VfL Bochum, who are travelling in a very bad atmosphere. Five consecutive losses, two coaches in seven games, and stuck at the bottom of 2.Bundesliga certainly leaves a mark on players.
Perhaps Kaiserslautern will not be as dominant, but I still expect them to win this game at good odds.
