Peterborough United continued their revival under new manager Luke Williams last Thursday night in League One as The Posh registered a convincing 3-0 home win against play-off hopefuls, Stockport County, and the hosts will be looking to do the same when high-flying Stevenage come to town on Tuesday night.
That’s now four wins on the trot in all competitions for Peterborough who have collected previous recent wins against the likes of Cardiff City (FA Cup), AFC Wimbledon (League One) and Crawley Town (EFL Trophy).
However, Peterborough United have not been convincing on home soil at London Road as The Posh possess a rather inconsistent looking record of 3-1-4 12/10 so far in this season’s campaign.
Stevenage by contrast have failed to win any of their last four matches in all competitions; two losses and two defeats make up their winless run in their previous four games and includes draws with Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers along with a 1-0 defeat away from home at Reading in League One.
However, Stevenage have suffered just three defeats within their total of 14 league matches played to date this term, all of which have been incurred on their travels within an overall away record of 3-1-3 9/9, but nevertheless, manager Alex Revell has transformed his side into potential play-off candidates.
The visitors also managed to hold Peterborough United to a 1-1 draw upon their last visit to London Road and although recent results haven’t all gone their way, Stevenage still remain a real threat to Peterborough on Tuesday night.
