Friday night brings us this all-Welsh tussle in the Championship between Swansea City and Wrexham at the Swansea.com Stadium with both sides looking to climb up into the top half of the table as soon as possible.
Swansea City head into this clash having picked up just two wins from their last eight matches in the English second tier but The Swans at least collected important wins against Oxford United and Portsmouth, both at home and both with clean sheets.
Incidentally, only two of Swansea’s six recent defeats have been dealt out to Vitor Matos’ side on home soil at the Swansea.com Stadium where the hosts hold a reasonable looking record of 4-3-4 13/15 so far this season.
Wrexham have been the ‘draw specialists’ so far in this season’s Championship campaign as The Dragons have been involved in no fewer than 10 stalemates within their 21 league matches played to date this term.
The visitors have registered just three wins within their last 11 matches overall, each of which were recorded on home soil against the likes of Coventry City, Charlton Athletic and Bristol City respectively.
Phil Parkinson’s side have been rather stubborn on their travels so far this season as well although league wins have been hard to come by for Wrexham as their away record stands at 2-5-3 9/10 so they may struggle to get the upper hand over their Welsh counterparts on Friday night.
The Betting Verdict
It’s been a long time since Swansea City and Wrexham last played each other but The Swans have won the last two meetings on the trot against Wrexham and the hosts look good value for the three points here.
