2025-12-30 - Livingston vs Dundee Utd
A Sports Betting Pick by ArmchairPunter
Football : Scotland: Premiership
Venue: Tony Macaroni Arena
Tuesday 30th December 2025, 1945hrs (GMT)
Livingston made Celtic work hard for their 4-2 win as the hosts pushed the Scottish giants all the way in the first half last time out in the Scottish Premiership at the Tony Macaroni Arena and although they eventually suffered another defeat, manager David Martindale would have taken some positives out of his side’s performance.
Nevertheless, Livingston have now failed to win any of their last 17 matches across all competitions and in the Scottish Premiership alone, the hosts have lost 11 of their 18 matches played to date in this season’s top flight campaign.
The straight win market should therefore be avoided at all cost where Livingston are concerned but goals look very promising as seven out of Livi’s eight home games have resulted in both teams scoring.
Dundee United were perhaps unsurprisingly involved in another draw last time out in the Scottish Premiership, this time being a 1-1 stalemate away from home at Aberdeen which made it no fewer than 10 draws within their 19 league matches played so far this season.
The high number of draws therefore makes it very tough to back Dundee United for all three points away from home at Livingston on Tuesday night and although the visitors have lost just three of their last 10 games overall, the fact remains that Jim Goodwin’s side have only managed to pick up just one win in the process.
However, the goals market should come to the rescue for this upcoming encounter at the Tony Macaroni Arena as six out of Dundee United’s nine away games so far in the Premiership have also resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net.
The Betting Verdict
Four of the last five meetings between Livingston and Dundee United have also resulted in both teams hitting the target.
