Salford City will be keen to avoid a fourth defeat on the trot in League Two on Tuesday night when the hosts take on Shrewsbury Town at the Peninsula Stadium following recent losses to Accrington Stanley, Newport County and Cheltenham Town respectively.
This recent spate of defeats have resulted in Salford City dropping out of the play-off pack where the hosts find themselves in 8th place in the League Two table and no doubt manager Karl Robinson’s task is to get The Ammies into the play-offs at the very least this season.

Shrewsbury Town meanwhile recorded a fourth league win on the trot in the domestic fourth tier on the weekend as The Shrews registered a solid 2-0 win away from home at Accrington Stanley to move the visitors nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Shrewsbury manager Gavin Cowan has overseen victories over the likes of Barrow, Swindon Town, Notts County and aforementioned Accrington in recent weeks which has been a welcome change from a previous four-match winless run in the fourth tier.
The visitors had previously also slipped to defeats at the hands of MK Dons, Cambridge United and Colchester United, all of whom currently occupy places in the top half of the League Two table, but Shrewsbury’s record away from home is still a cause for concern as The Shrews possess a poor record of 2-3-11 14/34.
