Derby County were unable to make it three league wins on the trot in the Championship on Good Friday as John Eustace’s side were dealt a 3-2 loss away from home at Premier League-bound Coventry City having previously collected wins against Portsmouth and Birmingham City.
Derby still find themselves four points adrift of 6th placed Wrexham ahead of Easter Monday’s encounter against Stoke City and recent results in the domestic second tier have been something of a mixed bag.
The Rams have registered four wins within their last eight matches overall but only one of these four victories were recorded at Pride Park while also slipping to losses at the hands of Watford, Hull City, Millwall and aforementioned Coventry City.
Derby’s overall home record of 8-6-6 27/25 has also been inconsistent.
Stoke City made it two wins in their last three games in the Championship on Good Friday as The Potters recorded a 2-0 home win over already-relegated Sheffield Wednesday which followed a previous victory over Watford.
However, Mark Robins’ side have also produced a mixed bag of results in recent times in the Championship as the visitors have registered just three wins from their last 14 league matches which includes an earlier 2-1 home win over Oxford United but also includes five draws along with six losses.
An away record of 6-4-10 17/22 could of course be better but it at least gives Stoke City a reasonable chance of perhaps picking up at least a point at Pride Park on Easter Monday.
