Last week I backed Mainz to win at home and they disappointed. Then Mainz went to Strasbourg in the UEFA Conference League and played awfully to lose 0-4 on the night and throw away a 2-0 headstart from the home match.

Well, firstly because Mainz have travelled here and got 3 wins and 2 draws in the last five years, and secondly because Monchengladbach have been installed as favourites based on some mediocre home form against St Pauli (16th), Heidenheim (18th) and Union Berlin (11th).
Mainz are better than all of those sides, they've got a solid edge against Monchengladbach and I think are about 50% likely to win - so the 2.90 price on away win seems far too big to me.
There is no pressure on Mainz, they're safely midtable, and I just think that the players NEED a bounce-back result after a couple of shockers. An early goal would probably be enough.
