It’s over. Heidenheim is 12 points behind the safe zone with four games remaining, so they are definitely finishing in the bottom three.
However, they have a microscopic chance of reaching the relegation playoff spot, currently occupied by St.Pauli, who are seven points ahead of them. Anything other than a win in this game means Heidenheim will certainly get relegated automatically this weekend.
Heidenheim’s players' body language is poor. It seems they have accepted their fate, although they showed signs of life in recent weeks.

St.Pauli is five points behind safety, but they hold their fate in their own hands. Three of their final four games of this Bundesliga season are against rivals from the bottom – Heidenheim, Mainz, RB Leipzig, and Wolfsburg.
If they somehow manage three wins there, they will likely achieve outright safety (with some other results falling in their favour).
However, winning has not come easily for them, as St.Pauli have the weakest attack in the Bundesliga, scoring only 26 goals in 30 games.
They also travel to Heidenheim on the back of six winless games in a row, losing three and drawing three.
The Betting Verdict
St.Pauli have beaten Heidenheim four times in the last six duels, including a 2-1 win in their first duel this season.
The Hamburg outfit has greater motives and a better chance of survival than Heidenheim, which, unfortunately, will be relegated this weekend.
Still, I do not have full confidence in St.Pauli. Their weak attack and lowest conversion rate are hard to ignore. I am adding the draw for a bit of safety, and recommend backing St.Pauli to win or draw here.
