NFL betting fans are getting a little frustrated with the Houston Texans. They are a fairly tough team to figure out and they are even tougher to handicap for NFL predictions.

The Texans have now lost two games where they were stuffed on the goal line in the last play of the game, which is a problem.

A couple of weeks ago, Texans running back Chris Brown fumbling a potential game-tying touchdown when he tried to run in from the one-yard line.

This past Sunday, the Texans, who were down 21-0 managed to come all the way back to tie the game at 21 only to give up a pick-six, which gave Arizona the lead.

Even so, the Texans had a chance to tie the game up again with a couple of last-second carries from the one-yard line yet Chris Brown was stuffed twice.

The Texans have been an embarrassing outfit this year because everyone knows this team has the potential to be a playoff team but they can’t seem to get their head together.

The Texans are 2-3 with two home losses and two losses where they could have tied the game on the last play, which means they could genuinely be 4-1 right now. But, the facts are the facts. Now the Texans head to Cincinnati to face what many believe to be the top team in the AFC right now.

The Cincinnati Bengals have a real challenge this week: don’t have a letdown. Last time the Bengals got a big win a couple of weeks ago at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they went on the road and nearly lost to the Cleveland Browns. This time, the Bengals got their big win on the road and will now play their follow up at home.

The Texans will have a tough time getting off the mat – again. This is their second consecutive discouraging loss and they really have some heat coming onto their coaching staff.

THe Betting Verdict

The Bengals have all of the become a smart, defensive, fundamentally sound team and the truth of the matter is that the Texans are the opposite. The Bengals should be able to run the ball down their throats with Cedric Benson, which should steady their offense.

While the Texans will score and this might be a shootout, don’t expect the Bengals to lose this game.
