Analysis:

Arsene Wenger who has been in the spotlight this week with the news that Real Madrid are targetting to sign him after they failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, have stated his loyalty to the club and asked them the Spanish Giants to leave him alone an d his focus is more towards Hull City even though they are less glamorous than Real Madrid.

Arsenal who are currently ranked third in the Premiership are challenging for the Premiership title and the last time they won it was way back in 2004. For the home side Hull, they are battling against relegation as they are second from bottom but with the battle tight at the bottom end, a win could still lift them out of the bottom three.

But it looks a tough task for them as they suffered their third defeat in a row against Everton last Sunday which left them sitting second from bottom of the standings. It has not been helped by the fact that they are welcoming an Arsenal side who are challenging Chelsea and Manchester United for the title.

Arsenal will no doubt look towards Nicklas Bendtner after the Dane scored a hattrick against Porto in the UEFA Champions League. But this match is not without its controversies as both clubs were fined by the FA for failure to control their players during the match at Emirates Stadium before Christmas.

As for the team news, Hull will miss the services of Anthony Gardner as the defender was ruled out for six weeks after sustaining ankle ligament damage in the recent defeat to West Ham. He will join Ian Ashbee who is already out on long term.

Meanwhile Stephen Hunt could well feature as he is considering to postpone his foot operation to help the team battle against the drop. Craig Fagan will return to the side after suspension.

As for the visitors, Arsenal will miss the services of captain Cesc Fabregas (hamstring), while Tomas Rosicky will undergo a late fitness test on his groin injury. Bacary Sagna is doubtful with an ankle problem while the good news is veteran defender Sol Campbell is expected to be available after suffering from cramp in the win over Porto.

Midfielder Alex Song misses out as he serves the second match for his sending off while centre-back William Gallas (calf) is still out of the side. The likes of Aaron Ramsey (broken leg), Robin van Persie (ankle) and Johan Djourou (knee)are out on long term.

Cheers and good luck,
