Concordia Chiajna is without a win in 2013 after suffering another defeat last weekend against Dinamo in Bucharest.
The team from the small town just outside Bucharest did well against Dinamo, but were unfortunate to concede two late goals (’86 and ’94) in a match that ended 2-0 for the hosts.

It was Astra’s fourth consecutive home success, which is a great run for a team that wasn’t among the favorites for a top 3 finish in the beginning of the season.
Astra holds a solid away record as well (W5 D2 L3), which is the second best after Steaua’s. They’ve kept a clean sheet in three of their last four games on the road.

Astra Giurgiu is a club with a solid financial situation and that clearly contributes to their excellent run. Most Liga 1 clubs face difficult times (financially speaking), which allows Astra to have an edge this season. Astra’s owner is the wealthiest individual from Romania.
Concordia Chiajna is relatively safe at the moment sitting on the 12th position, but they could be dragged in the relegation battle if they won’t improve their game in the upcoming weeks.
From what I’ve seen so far since the second part of the championship kicked off, Astra Giurgiu should pick up three points here against a Concordia side that lost 0-6 at home to Steaua Bucuresti not so long ago.
It should be a dull match, every game in which Concordia is involved is a dull one, so under 2.5 goals at 1.7 looks like a safe bet, but I’ll take Astra to win at +1.9 which is fair value in my opinion.
