Genoa's last win was way back in February and they are now in freefall with their last win coming back in mid-February. The home side is now staring at the possibility of relegation despite their Coach, Davide Ballardini, insists his side are ‘not scared of dropping down’.

But Atalanta are not better off as they head into this match. Their leading scorer German Denis, is also unavailable after receiving the marching orders last weekend against Fiorentina. He has scored 15 goals this season and also his side’s leading assist-provider. His presence will be surely felt in this match.

Atalanta are also coming off a heated match against Fiorentina in which they came away without any points. Atalanta were not happy when in the second half Fiorentina were awarded a dubious penalty. Then ten minutes after that Vincenzo Montella’s side scored again and it finished 2-0 to Fiorentina.

However, despite the defeat, Atalanta remain safe in Serie A as there are nine points separating them and the relegation zone.
But for the record, the last time Atalanta won this fixture was way back in 2003.
