Atletico will be in a bouyant mood after thrashing Schalke 4-0 to secure them a place amongst Europes elite after an absence of over a decade. They won't be letting Malaga spoil there celebrations.

El Calderon last season was a hard place for any team to visit, holding a 12-2-5 record but there problems were not performing against lowely opponents. Three of the five losses were against bottom half finishers.

Malaga have been thrown straight into the deep end of La Liga, with a trip to El Calderon was the last thing on there agenda.

Their main change during the pre-season has been the loss of manager Juan Ramon Muniz to Racing Santander and the arrival of former first team coach Antonio Tapia.

Tapia has been busy in the transfer market, bringing in ex-players Nacho Perez, Duda and Miguel Angel as well as other young talent like Lolo.

There are a couple of injury worries, most notably Rossato and Salva.
