Arsenal effectively ended City's chances of winning the title but really City should never have put themselves in that position. The leaders for much of the season, City lost their nerve, belief and form and slumped to defeats and draws in games they should easily have won, and now they trail United by 5 points, requiring the Devils to drop points and to go on a perfect run themselves. It's unlikely.

Since that loss to City the pressure has lifted as things are no longer in their hands. As a result, this team has played better, with two very dominant displays in the games since. West Brom took a 4-0 thrashing and then last week Norwich were torn apart in the 2nd half with the game ending 6-1 to City. Tevez, now back with the team, scored a hattrick, and it is worth mentioning this team have scored a bunch when they start Tevez and Aguero. In the 3 games they ahve started together they have combined for 11 goals!

Tevez has 4 goals in 3 league games against Wolves, while Dzeko has 3 in 2 meetings with Wolves this season. Goals look a certainty, as Wolverhampton have not kept a clean sheet here all season and are actually conceding almost 2.5 goals per game, while scoring just 1 per game themselves. It means City on the AH are well worth a look. Wolves, who have lost their last 8 home games in a row, are finished, and will certainly lose here and have their relegation confirmed. When City do score, Wolves will have conceded in 17 home games, a new Premier League record, not that it is anything to be proud of.

Arsenal came here and took it easy on Wolves, playing with the handbrake up because with the game won there was no point running up the score. Manchester City are not that kind of team. They will want to score as many goals as possible and will have no mercy whatsoever. They have the excuse of trying to pull further ahead in the goal difference as they are just 4 better than United, but you saw what they did at Norwich. This lot will score as many as they can.

BETTING VERDICT

With that in mind, we can comfortably take Manchester City to win on the AH by at least 2 or 3 goals, as I would be stunned if Wolves were even allowed to score.

There is also the Total Away Goals market, where you can get some great prices on Manchester City to score 4, or even 5 goals. I think there is value in taking them to score a lot considering what the offence has done in their last 2 matches.

Note: A lot of my regular AH ideas and side bets were winners on Saturday but I officially took the big prices and they did not come through. So with that in mind, please have a good think about whether you want to take the big priced punts I will suggest here, or go with the safer option.
