This is an old AFC Central rival renewed. These team don’t like each other. During the 90’s these two teams played twice a season and the bad blood is still there.

In week five they played a physical, smash mouth contest that Tennessee won 13-10. Look for something similar this time.

Baltimore (12-5 SU, 6-3 Road, 13-4 ATS)

The Ravens are playing as well as anyone in the NFL right now. Their defense is one of the best are is. They create scoring opportunities and score themselves as well as anyone.

Baltimore don’t need an explosive offense, just one that can limit it’s mistakes and put a few points on the board. The Ravens have just that. The offensive isn’t spectacular, but it works.

Tennessee (13-3 SU, 7-1 Home, 12-4 ATS)

The Titans have been a team that defied all logic. They were in a division with the Colts and weren’t expected to compete let alone dominate the division.

Tennessee also have a very good, hard hitting defense, and an offense that just does enough to win. They have an experienced quarterback, and a good combo of running backs.

The Verdict

Normally I think having the extra week off helps a team, it gives the players that are banged up a chance to get a little healthier.

But the Titans though took the final week of the season off also. They weren’t even competitive against the Colts and I feel that they might be a little too rested going into a game against a team that’s battle tested and ready to hit.

The Ravens will come out swinging and try to intimidate. If the Titans are even a little bit flat, it could be the difference in a close game.

If you look at the stats, these two teams are almost identical, but I think the wrong team is favored.

Yes Tennessee had the best record in the conference, and is playing at home, but I think Baltimore had many greater challenges and overall played better this season. I think that Baltimore will win this game flat out.
