Valencia
Valencia Coach Emery will be delighted to see his squad defeat Sevilla 2-0 two weeks ago as Valencia played well in that game. Juan Mata and Pablo Hernandez both score in second half to give Valencia a winning start.
Valencia has lost their last three away games last season to Espanyol, Madrid and Villarreal. Not an interesting statistic but something to be aware off.
Looking at the team news, Emery has no new injury concern, while Mauel Fernandes, Ruben Baraja and Asier Del Horno continues to be out. Vicente has train for the pass week and should make the bench.
Emery is likely start with a 4-5-1 formation with Moya in goal protected by Ibanez, Alexis Bruno and Miguel. Marchena and Benega should start at the heart of midfield accompanied by Mata and Pablo while David Silva will just play in front of the midfield line, slightly behind lone striker David Villa.
Valladolid
Villadolid started off the season poorly by drawing 0-0 against Almeria. However credits have to be given to Villadolid as they played with a men less for almost the entire game. Villadolid have failed to win in their last five home games last season and this could well be a worrying sign for Villadolid fans.
Morale seems to be high at the Villadolid camp as defender Antonio
Barragan has stood up and told his teammates that Jose Zorrilla stadium should be turned into a fortress. It must be one of the jokes of the season for a team who barely survive relation last season wants to turn their home ground intro a fortress!
Valladolid will be without Nivaldo as he is suspended while Carlos Lazaro is doubtful. Jacobo, Luis Prieto, Yuri Berchiche, Borja, Rubio, Sesma Gonzales, Baraja, Marcos, Aleman, Manucho and Canobbio should all start against Valencia.
Key Players
Key player to watch out for Valencia would definitely be David Villa as has been in good form this season and his eye for goal would definitely cause this weak Villadolid defense a couple of problem. Silva and Mata both young and talented should be watched closely.
On the other hand, the key player for Valladolid would be keeper Jacobo as he will have to be at his best if Villadolid wish to walk away with anything here tonight.
THe Betting Verdict :
Valencia will want to keep up with leaders Barcelona and Real Madrid.
With David Villa and David Silla both in good form scoring for Spain in the international break, I do expect them to penetrate the home side’s defense.
