NFL Betting – Rams To Get Roughed Up Again

The debate over who is the worst team in the NFL is one that presents many options.
Is it the Kansas City Chiefs, who have looked pitiful under new “franchise” quarterback Matt Cassel?
Is it the Cleveland Browns, who just traded away their best offensive piece Braylon Edwards and have allegedly lost the faith of their new head coach Eric Mangini?
Is it the Oakland Raiders, who have a win, but have a head coach who might get arrested for felony assault any day now and have a quarterback who’s quarterback rating is just over 40?
Or maybe it’s the St. Louis Rams, who have been shut out twice this young season already and have scored a total of 24 points in four games?
As we look at the Rams NFL Week 5 matchup, they face the Minnesota Vikings, a team who averages just under 30 points per game. If you do the match, the Rams are facing a team that scores six times as many points per game as them this weekend.
The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a big, emotional win on Monday Night Football. The Vikings were a home favorite against the Green Bay Packers and they took care of business. More importantly, starting quarterback Brett Favre upended his former team and got some revenge, which was pretty sweet for him.
Now the Vikings head out on the road after a couple of tough games and face the feeble Rams.
While the Vikings are undefeated and considered among the best NFC teams around, the Rams have still yet to win a game and are considered to be among the worst.
People making their sports picks don’t have to rack their brains handicapping this game. The biggest problem for the St. Louis Rams this year has been their offensive line and the lack of a running game. Facing the Vikings, who have an All-Star defensive line, the Rams are going to have a very tough time either running the ball or protecting the quarterback.
On top of that, their quarterback play has been extremely poor this year. Whether Marc Bulger is back or whether Kyle Boller is still leading the way, the Rams aren’t going to score many points.
THe Betting Verdict
Look for the Vikings to get running back Adrian Peterson untracked as he’ll run wild and carry the team. Favre will take a break this week.
