Barcelona will host Mallorca in a tough game today in the Nou Camp. If Barcelona were you have any slip ups again today, Real Madrid could overtake them at the top of the leader board!!

Barcelona

Barcelona were unlucky not to secure all three points in midweek. Guardiola side has been having a slight dip in form lately as they are not converting their chances into goals. However, with Barcelona are a side that normally recovers well following poor results. Guardiola side will be looking for their eight victory in ten games tonight to ensure that they remain at the top of the La Liga.

Going into this game, Guardiola has a full strength squad to select from. This is for the first time this season that he has no injury worries and i expect him to put out the strongest 11. With Guardiola unhappy with his side failing to convert chances in midweek, he might rotate a couple of players.

Victor Valdes will start in goal protected by Carlos Puyol, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves and Marquez. In midfield, Keita should retain his place as he is in goal scoring form. He should be accompanied by Xavi and Iniesta or Busquet forming a three men midfield. Henry who was on the bench for the last two games is expected to start up front alongside Messi and Ibrahimovic or Bojan.

Mallorca

Mallorca will be pretty happy with their current league position, lying on 5th spot, six points behind leaders Barcelona. Mallorca home form has been superb winning all five of their home games, however their away from is way below average.

Gregorio Manzano will have Josemi and Ramis back from suspension. Manzano is likely to recall the same starting eleven that defeated Racing Santander. Aouate will start in goal protected by Felipe, Gonzales, Nunes, Ayoze in defense. In midfield, Valero and Suarez will start in a more central position leaving Castro and Mosquera out in the flanks. Webo and Cassadesus will start up front.

With leading goal scorer Aritz Aduriz out for Manzano, Mallorca should find it difficult to find the back of the net, especially on the road.

On the other hand, Mallorca has won two out of their four away games under the asian handicap this season. However they have yet to claim all three points on the road.

The home fans will be desperate for a home win as they are expected to win almost every game. With Barcelona drawing their last 2 games, the players themselves will be desperate to be back in winning ways.

With Messi and Henry cutting in from the flanks, Mallorca might find it difficult to mark them. Barcelona will once again dominate possession and it will be difficult for Mallorca to get the ball out of their own half.

Looking at this statistic with Barcelona willing all their home games and Mallorca without a win on the road, my best bet would be Barcelona to win the game.
