Liverpool, fresh from their 2-0 Merseyside derby over Everton will travel to Ewood Park aiming for a second consecutive win in what has been a miserable season to date. They will once again have to start without star striker Fernando Torres as he will not be risked due to his groin injury.

At the back the centre half position is being fought by Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel. Captain Steven Gerrard will be eager to prove his worth for what will be his 500the game for the club.

As for the hosts Blackburn, they are currently in 13th spot with 17 points. Midfielder David Dunn is in a race to become fit after picking up a calf knock picked up against Stoke.
