Analysis:

Two mega rich sides will go head to head with each other as the Match of the week takes place when Manchester City welcomes the visit of Chelsea to the City of Manchester Stadium. As this is a late kickoff, Chelsea will know how their closest challenger Manchester United have fared before kickoff and will ensure they keep the distance to 5 points.

Manchester City will be boosted after advancing to the semi-finals of the Carling Cup while Chelsea crashed out in midweek. But in the Premiership, Chelsea are unstoppable while Manchester City have been the draw specialist and finding it difficult to break into the top four.

Manchester City had their seventh draw when they drew with Hull City after Jimmy Bullard's equaliser at the KC Stadium last weekend, and they remain three points away from the fourth spot despite just one defeat all season.

Now they will be eager for Chelsea's scalp after taking out Arsenal in midweek, albeit with a young Arsenal side it must be stated. Hughes fielded a strong team against the Gunners and is unlikely to make many changes for the visit of Chelsea. Robinho is unlikely to be risked here after having just returned to the side form injury.

Craig Bellamy is likely to be rested after picking up a minor knee problem, while Stephen Ireland is also doubtful with a similar injury. Martin Petrov should be available after missing out in recent weeks with a knee injury of his own, while Shaun Wright-Phillips will be looked upon after picking up a slight knock
before he can face the club he played with once before.

Chelsea were dealt a rude shock in midweek when they were bundled out of the Carling Cup on penalties. Carlo Ancelotti defended his team selection and will make wholesome changes for this trip. They will want to repeat the same performance that saw them beat Arsenal 3-0 at the Emirates and keep the five points gap over United at the top.

Salomon Kalou is set to be out for a couple of weeks with a thigh problem, while Jose Bosingwa is a long-term absentee due to a knee problem. Chelsea is set to welcome back the likes of Petr Cech, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka to the first team.
