Chelsea were dealt a rude shock in midweek when they were bundled out of the Carling Cup on penalties. Carlo Ancelotti defended his team selection and will make wholesome changes for this trip. They will want to repeat the same performance that saw them beat Arsenal 3-0 at the Emirates and keep the five points gap over United at the top.

Salomon Kalou is set to be out for a couple of weeks with a thigh problem, while Jose Bosingwa is a long-term absentee due to a knee problem. Chelsea is set to welcome back the likes of Petr Cech, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka to the first team.
