Analysis:

Liverpool who have only pride to play as they can only play in the Europa League no matter what happens in the other matches will aim to finish on a high when they entertain Fiorentina at Anfield tonight.

As they had home and away defeats to Lyon, should they win here and Lyon loses, due to the head to head record, they will still not qualify to the next stage. Fiorentina also beat them in Italy so, this match is just to salvage whatever price they can now.

Liverpool fans will hope that the team will play for pride and bow out in style from the Champions League with a win here. Summer signing Alberto Aquilani is expected to be handed his first start following his big-money summer switch from Roma, while Fernando Torres should make his return after a groin injury.
