Craig Levein was disappointed as on Saturday as he saw his side draw 0-0 at Hearts and saw it as two points dropped. Danny Cadamarteri had a second half penalty saved and the chance to go within 2 point of Rangers for Tuesday nights clash had they won. Seeing a draw at Tynecastle as two points dropped is certainly a sign of the growing expectations at Dundee United and the belief that they along with Hibs can maintain a title challenge this season.

United have been excellent this season, losing only once. Levein may be a little unhappy at drawing 6 out of the 14 SPL games but the league table makes for good reading as his side are only 6 points behind leaders Celtic with this game in hand. They have also managed to take 4 points off Celtic in their two games against them. This fixture which was abanonded at half time back in October also showed United's progress as they dominated most of the 45 minutes despite being 1-0 down.

The re-scheduling of the fixture has also led to a war of words between the clubs. Rangers chief executive Martin Bain was said to have been disgusted at fans having to be charged again for the re-fixed game. It all adds to the tension building up to a very big game for both sides. Levein has called for Dundee United fans to come out in force for this big game as they hope to maintain their good run.

Meanwhile Rangers have hit back in their last 2 SPL games after their defeat to Aberdeen with 2 very comfortable victories, 3-1 over Falkirk and 3-0 over St Johonstone. Kris Boyd netted 4 times in the two games to take his tally to 12 for the season. But they have struggled to score away from home, netting just 7 from 6 away games which is certainly not up to scratch for Rangers.

They certainly have not been convincing away from home with late goals to win at St Johnstone and Hearts and drawing at Motherwell and Kilmarnock aswell asa the defeat at Aberdeen in their last away game. However Rangers have still lost only one SPL games since March and despite their indifferent form at times this season still sit in second place and a win here will see them go back on top.

A Draw is very likely here but take the double chance of a DUNDEE UNITED WIN or GAME TO BE A DRAW as main bet as Dundee United have shown that they are very capable of getting one over the old firm this season as they beat Celtic at home a few weeks back.
