Analysis:

If Fiorentina wants to qualify for the Champions League for the third year in a row, they need to get maaximum points from games like this. Cesare Prandelli's charges were consistently inconsistent in the first half of the campaign most likely due to their involvement in Europe but with the second half of the the season to go, they have to make a change now.

With other teams such as Napoli turning them into top four contenders, Claudio Ranieri has brought Roma back into the mix, while teams such as Sampdoria and Genoa cannot be discounted so Fiorentina have to get their act together for this match.

For Bologna, a good result here is just as important for Franco Colomba's side. With just four wins and 16 points to their name, Bologna now sits one point above the relegation zone and four solitary points off Siena who prop up the table.

Bologna have been beaten in their last three games coming into this match and are in dire need of stopping the slide down before they go further down the table. A draw or perhaps all three points at the Artemio Franchi could bring the fans back to life.
