Analysis:

Liverpool will be aiming to get the win here and move up a slot to 5th spot when they travel to Wolves on Tuesday night.

But if Tottenham fail to beat Fulham at White Hart Lane, then the Reds can even go as high as fourth spot. But Wolves cannot be taken lightly as they are also in desperate need of the three points at stake as a win can help them since they are languishing just above the relegation spot on better goal difference.

Liverpool will be confident as they are boosted by the return of Captain Steven Gerrard after a hamstring injury. Alberto Aquilani will have to make way for Gerrard to return here. However the visitors are still without the likes of Fernando Torres, Glen Johnson and Yossi Benayoun who are out on long term injuries.

Daniel Agger and Fabio Aurelio are rated doubtful ahead of this clash so Sotirios Kyrgiakos is set to continue in defence alongside Martin Skrtel. Maxi Rodriguez will hope to start this match after appearing as a substitute in the last two games while Dirk Kuyt is set to lead the attack after scoring twice against Spurs.

As for Wolves, Adlene Guediour has been included in Mick McCarthy's starting lineup. The French midfielder has signed on loan from Charleroi for the remainder of the season and could make the move permanent come summer. Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, who impressed as a substitute against Crystal Palace on Saturday, could be given a start against the Reds.

The home side will welcome back defender Richard Stearman after he served his suspension. The likes of Kevin Doyle and goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann will come back to the side after being rested for the cup tie.
