Analysis:West Ham will hope to secure their first win here since their last win which was on Boxing Day when Blackburn pays a visit. Since beating Portsmouth back in December, West Ham have failed to win and are battling against relegation now.
And The Hammers are only aboe the bottom three on goal difference and a win here would greatly ease the pressure on them. In midweek West Ham could only managed a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Blackburn comes into this match in a good run of form though. Rovers have notched back-to-back Premier League wins against Fulham and Wigan and are now 11th in the Premiership. However both of those wins came at home and their record away from home can be question. That is because Rovers have only managed five points from 11 games away from home so far this term, scoring only eight times in the process.
The good news for West Ham is that Blackburn have not won at Upton Park since 1994 and have a miserable record against The Hammers. However they have won just once in their last eight games so it will be a close match here.
As for the team news for West Ham, Benni McCarthy will only be a spectator as he has yet to complete his move to the club. While fellow striker Carlton Cole could return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench against Portsmouth in midweek.
The likes of without Guillermo Franco and Keiron Dyer (both hamstring), Zavon Hines (knee), Calum Davenport (thigh) and Luis Boa Morte (cruciate ligament) are all out with injuries. Scott Parker will undergo a late fitness test after missing their game with Portsmouth with a hamstring injury.
Blackburn will be glad to know that central defender Christopher Samba will be back for this match. Samba missed the 2-1 win over Wigan through suspension and will now be back at the backline. However, Allardyce may be without defender Lars Jacobsen as he is struggling with a thigh injury. Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic is slowly starting to find his scoring form after moving from Hajduk Split last year and could pose a threat.
