Analysis:

Bari goes into this match having loss just once in ten matches at home at the Stadio San Nicola which was against Cagliari back in September last year. However Bari have gone four games without a win and Palermo will be looking to extend that to five games now.

Palermo are unbeaten in their last three away games. They did lose five of their last nine games on the road so they will be looking to improve on that record today. But, since the arrival of Delio Rossi the Palermo's form has improved dramatically. A win on his debut was denied by Chievo but since that defeat, Delio Rossi has been unbeaten in seven matches now.

However back in week 3 when these two sides met, Bari almost upset Palermo in their own grounds. Riccardo Allegretti gave them the lead after just two minutes which started late after a freak rainstorm flooded parts of the pitch. Igor Budan saved Palermo when he scored in injury time.

Matches between these two have been few. The last clash in Bari was back in 2005 when a Coppa Italia match ended goalless. In the four meetings since 2003-04 the hosts this weekend have recorded just one win. That win was a 2-1 result back in Week 23 of the 2003-04 season, goals from Nicolas Cordova and Gaetano De Rosa.

The home side have three players who will face their former side here. Defender Alessandro Parisi and midfielders Daniele De Vezze and Salvatore Masiello are all former Palermo players. Palermo have one ex Bari player and he is midfielder Giuliano Migliaccio.

As for the team news, Bari midfielder Riccardo Meggiorini is suspended for this fixture. While the likes of defenders Andrea Ranocchia and Parisi, midfielder Mariano Donda and striker Vitali Kutuzov are all injured.

Palermo also have injuries to concern about. Georgian striker Levan Mchedlidze and Australian midfielder Marco Bresciano are both injured, while defender Moris Carrozzieri is a long-term suspension until April 2011.
