Analysis:

Fulham comes into this match with Burnley having won just once in eight games and had to thank referee Mark Clattenburg for avoiding defeat at Bolton on Saturday.

Burnley, who sit five positions and eight points below Fulham will want to exploit Fulham's inabiliy to win matches and Brian Laws will be on a high having won his first league game since taking charge in the weekend success against relegation rivals West Ham.

Burnley will also want to end their dismal away record as they have gone 11 games on the losing side and a draw. But Fulham who is in the Europa League, ended a run of of five successive defeats with a victory over rock-bottom Portsmouth before the draw at Bolton and will be out to ensure they do not let their guard down.

Hodgson will be boosted by the return of striker Bobby Zamora from a virus ahead of this clash. Simon Davies (ankle) also returns, but South African midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi has been ruled out for up to six weeks because of ankle ligament damage.

Striker Andrew Johnson, recovering from knee surgery, is out for the rest of the season, while Paul Konchesky (foot), Clint Dempsey and John Pantsil (both knee) are all still unavailable as they have a huge injury list.

Stephen Jordan is pushing to be in contention for Burnley as Laws has confirmed that the defender is nearing a comeback following a hamstring strain that ruled him out for two weeks.

Chris McCann's knee injury is getting better but this match comes too soon for him. On the other hand, Graham Alexander (calf) and Steven Caldwell (groin) remain sidelined. Danny Fox should start after his excellent debut against West Ham.
