Dinamo had a poor first part of season, finishing only 8th after 17 games, but they seem to recover and they are now just 2 points behind the second place, which would ensure them a spot to the CL qualifiers. Dinamo is a traditional pretender to title, so any other place than a podium (at least) at the end of the season would be a great disappointment, after all the investments that have been made.
Since the second part of the season began, they managed to defeat long-time rivals, Universitatea Craiova, winning 2-1 at home and secured an important away victory against International Arges. These results give them a great morale, because all the teams that were in front of them lost at least 2 points in these two stages.
Dinamo already lost two games at home, which is unexpected because usually they take their points when playing at home, and most of their opponents consider themselves satisfied with a draw in “Stefan cel Mare”. Paradoxically the games they lost were against teams considered small, which are in battle to avoid relegation ( Otelul Galati and International Arges, both 0-1).
After this match Dinamo has a difficult schedule with matches against CFR Cluj and Steaua, so they need these points more than ever, but they admit this is a tricky match even if the positions in the table indicates that they have an easy match.

Ceahlaul accumulated only 10 points in the first part of the season and was considered relegated even before the championship second part started. However they made one of the biggest surprise this season, defeating Steaua in Bucharest, 3-1.
They took advantage of Steaua’s defensive weakness and they won three important points in the battle to avoid relegation. The enthusiasm only lasted one week, they lost 0-1 against Otelul Galati at home, which lead to an unpleasant event, their coach being fired.
Ceahlaul’s new coach is Zoran Filipovici (ex-Red Star Belgrade coach and player) and his objective is the difficult mission of avoiding relegation. However he could not change many things in just one week and despite it’s being said that changing a coach produces a positive shock at a team, I think that a man who knows nothing about the Romanian league and the way teams play here cannot lead his team to a good result in “Stefan cel Mare”.
They will try to repeat the performance from stage 18 when they beat another big club from Bucharest, but I don’t think there will be any surprise in this match, that result was only an accident, confirmed by their loss at home. This is not the kind of match Ceahlaul should make hopes in getting any points, they have to won against teams that are in relegation zone to hope for avoiding the relegation.
