Fiorentina's season is crumbling! Their form in Europe finally took a turn for a worse when they were dumped out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich and their Serie A form has been poor. To make matters worse, Cesare Prandelli, their Coach and biggest asset, now looks likely to leave for Juventus or the Italian national job in the summer.

Fiorentina took the limelight after they beat 2005 Champions League Winners Liverpool home and away. But the Champions League took effects on its relatively small squad as they suffered domestically.

Napoli on the other hand are having a better season in Serie A. Thought they were holding the fourth position sometime back, they could not handle the pressure that comes with it and have dropped to 7th spot now. Napoli themselves have not won in their last six matches coming into this match. The only positive for them is that they are facing a Fiorentina side low on confidence as well.

As for the team news, Fiorentina are badly hit by injuries coming into this match. The likes of centre-back Alessandro Gamberini is out until the end of April with a shoulder injury. Peruvian Juan Manuel Vargas is also out injured. Former Juve wideman Marco Marchionni and stopper Cesare Natali is also on the sidelines. Adrian Mutu misses out due to his drugs ban.

For Napoli, they have three casualties all in defence. The likes of former Liverpool flop Andrea Dossena is out of action along with promising centre-back Fabiano Santacroce and Gianluca Grava. Paolo Cannavaro who also plays in defence is out for one match with a ban.
