Roma comes into this match after beating leaders Inter Milan in their last clash but now face a different challenge in the form of Bari at the Stadio San Nicola.

Claudio Ranieri could take heed of what Jose Mourinho said that he has not won anything and beat Inter Milan to the Serie A title. Since Ranieri took charge of the side back in September, they n ot only qualified for the Champions League but are now gunning for the Scudetto in one of the most remarkable manner!

Now they are within a point of leaders Inter Milan on the back of a 21 game unbeaten run in Serie A, despite missing Francesco Totti for long spells of the season. The 21st game unbeaten was last week’s 2-1 triumph over Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. It would have been a different story had it been the Roma without Ranieri, but with him in charge, they prevailed and got all three points.

But Bari cannot be taken lightly here however.

Bari has been the surprise package of Serie A so far. They are unbeaten in their last five games and will relish the opportunity for another giant killing, having already beaten Juventus and drawn with Inter twice this season.

And the news that Roma players and fans do not want to hear is that Bari have lost just twice at the Stadio San Nicola all season.

As for the team news, Roma paid a price for the win over Inter as they are without both Jeremy Menez and Simone Perrotta who both are incurring suspensions that rule them out of this match.

Meanwhile Bari will not have the likes of Andrea Ranocchia, Vitali Kutuzov, Antonio Langella and Mariano Donda who are all injured.
