AS Roma

The 1-2 home loss to Sampdoria should be still ringing in Giallorossi's ears. Regardless of the circus-performance which Lazio and Inter Milanput on - Roma has only itself to blame. I doubt, that in case Lupi were still at the top of the league - Lazio fans would've ordered their team to surrender on Sunday.

Never the less Coppa Italia final is probably the only true opportunity for the capital-city club to mark this season with a trophy. Roma regained the momentum with a Saturday evening 1-2 away win against Parma. Totti was on mark for a second match in a row. The comeback of Il Capitano is a sign of more good things to come from the veteran star.

Claudio Ranieri is without serious injury concerns before the final. Chilean international David Pizzaro was not included in the squad on Saturday due to a sudden virus infection. Right back Cassetti is suspended, which potentially means apalling Marco Motta could be given the go ahead from Ranieri.

Inter Milan

Inter gets ready to start marking a marvelous year with trophies. Apart from the Coppa Italia Nerrazurri are in contention for yet another Serie A crown and the Champions League title.

A win against Roma in this domestic final would be especially pleasant due to the unfolding marathon race in the domestic league.

Lazio suffered a deliberate loss at the week-end only to thwart city-rival Roma's Scudetto hopes. With 2 matchdays left to be played Inter's 2 point lead could become golden.

Having used about 20% of their energy at the week-end Inter should be fresh and concentrated for the final.

Final games are always 50/50 before the kick-off.I may have a biased view due to my sympathies towards AS Roma, but anyhow last 2 encounters vs. Inter have brought Giallorossi a draw and a win. On both occasions Lupi looked a bit more attractive than opponents.
