2010-06-01 - Bray Wanderers vs Bohemians
A Sports Betting Pick by Stephen
Football: League Of Ireland Premier Division
Tuesday 1st June Kick Off 7.45pm
Bray Wanderers 10th ( Home Record W0 D1 L6 )
Bohemians (Bohs) 6th ( Away Record W4 D0 L3 )
A disastrous season got even worse again on Saturday night for Bray Wanderers as they were hammered 5-1 at Sligo Rovers, losing 4-0 at half time. Its their second hammering in 3 weeks as they were heavily beaten 6-0 in their last home game against UCD. Since their only win of the season in a shock 3-2 win at Dundalk they have lost 4 from 5 and conceded 16 goals.
Their home record is appalling. They have only 1 point from 7 games, while they have scored only 5 goals and conceded 21 times. Bray's squad is not a Premeir Division squad as they were relegated last season but got a late reprieve as Cork City were relegated due to finanical problems. The only positive for Bray is that Drogheda are also struggling so amazingly theres a little hope for Bray that they may stay up. To make matters worse they are missing quite a few of their first eleven for the visit of Champions Bohs.
Bohs drew 0-0 with bitter rivals and fellow title favourites Shamrock Rovers on Saturday. Bohs who have won the title the last 2 seasons have been a little inconsistent this season and have failed to match the high standard they set in the past 2 seasons. However they do have a trophy to their name already as they won the All Ireland Setanta Cup competition beating St Patricks Athletic in the final.
Despite the fact Bohs are in 6th place it they are also only 6 points behind leaders Dundalk and with 2 games in hand. It shows just how tight the league is at the moment with 7 teams within 9 points of each other and all realistically still with title aspirations. But as the season goes on its teams like Bohs that should have the ability to last the pace, they certainly have the best squad with quality players often warming their bench. If Bohs find anything close to their best here they should easily win this by a few goals.
BRAY WANDERERS LAST 5
Sligo Rovers 5-1 Bray
Bray 2-2 Drogheda
Bray 0-6 UCD
Sporting Fingal 1-0 Bray
Bray 0-2 Galway
BOHEMIANS LAST 5
Bohemians 0-0 Shamrock Rovers
St Patricks Athletic 3-1 Bohemians
Bohemians 1-0 St Patricks Athletic (Setanta Cup Final)
Sligo Rovers 1-2 Bohemians
Bohemians 1-0 Drogheda
VERDICT
Bohs to win this one and the 2/5 price might not seem so good but anything but a Bohs win here would be a big shock, look at also doing Bohs -1 handicap or Bohs half time/full time which is currently 19/20.
