CSKA Moscow
CSKA directed all of its recent anger at poor Palermo in Europa League crashing Italians 3-1. Army men thus secured qualification to the play-off stage and can now concentrate on domestic matters which feature the intense battle for 2nd place.
CSKA will be without both candidates for right back position as A.Berezutsky is carrying an injury and Kirill Nababkin is suspended. Furthermore Doumbia's condition remains a mystery.
But manager Slutsky was left assured by Tomas Necid's great performance against Palermo that the Czech striker has what it takes to replace Doumbia. Tall cumbersome youngster scored two goals in Europa League clash registering his bid for a regular place in the starting 11.
Slutsky had earlier suggested Doumbia would be fit to feature against Krylia Sovetov but nothing has been heard since.
As A.Berezutsky and Kirill Nababkin are both unavailable Lithuanian Deividas Semberas will return to the position he used to play in for many years. So by no means it can be considered an issue for CSKA.
Krylia Sovetov
Krylia quite hopelessly lost to Rubin 0-2 and remained within a dangerous distance of 4 points from relegation zone. After Amkar’s victory against Terek on Saturday, the handicap has narrowed to just 2. With games against CSKA,Spartak, Dynamo and Zenit to be played in the seasons climax – Krylia can be still considered main candidates for relegation.
Krylia showed they are not capable to match such high quality sides like Rubin. Although their game has improved overall individual class of players still leaves much to be desired. Fortunately Alexander Tarkhanov has no injuries or suspensions to confront with, but I wouldn't rule out one or two changes in the starting 11.
Krylia was short of fresh ideas in the match vs. Rubin and obviously needs some new blood.
Betting advice
Despite losing points for 3 games in a row CSKA look very confident and enjoy their football at the moment. I don't think hosts will lose points in this match. The difference in gameplay is so immense that Army men can only be denied by another attack of bad luck.
Unfortunately the market is so narrow that I can only suggest to consider the over 2.50 goals option and CSKA's handicap victory, if you find any on offer.
