Viktoria Plzen goes into this match needing just a point in order to continue their European dream in the Champions League.

As it is now, the Czech side sit in third place knowing they need a draw against the seven times champions to ensure their first season of European football continues in the Europa League next year.

And with Barcelona and AC Milan already through Viktoria sit one place and two points ahead of BATE who travel to Spain to face the champions and hoping for a 'happy ending' to their Champions League debut. They need a point to play in the Europa League and will be hoping to be involved in Europe still after Christmas.

Viktoria Plzen know that one point in the form of a draw is good enough and to reward their supporters who have supported them throughout their Champions League campaign. They are not worried about the match in Barcelona as they are confident Barcelona will not lose to BATE even if they field their reserves.

Their coach Pavel Vrba has stated that they care only about their match against Milan and to get a point not about what is taking place in Barcelona.

While the Czech side are at full strength, however the same cannot be said for AC Milan and boss Massimiliano Allegri who will be forced to play an understrength side through a combination of ill-discipline and injuries coming into this match.

Liverpool loanee Alberto Aquilani is suspended and Mark van Bommel (knee), Pato (flu), Christian Abbiati (shoulder), Alessandro Nesta (hip), Philippe Mexes (hand), Gennaro Gattuso (eye) and Mathieu Flamini (knee) areall out injured while Antonio Cassano is recovering from heart surgery. That is one of the reasons they have opened talks with Manchester City to bring in Carlos Tevez into their side in January.

Allegri has stated that they will give a chance to players who have not played for some time, but if needed we will make changes during the match. For some of these players it will give them a chance to prove their worth while for others it will give them a chance to get back into the rhythm of playing and getting another taste of the Champions League.

Allegri added that Plzen had some good moment in Milan and they need a point. On top of that they played pretty well, so they have to be careful. On top of that the hosts have good wingers and are fast and very quick at getting into attacking positions.

Allegeri also stated that they will treat Plzen with full respect as it is Champions League football and the fact that they qualified for the Champions League means they have to be respected at all costs.
