Match Preview :

Marseille travels to Germany knowing that they stand one game away from the money-spinning knock-out stages of the Champions League. Didier Deschamps side are currently one place behind Arsenal in the group knowing a win will be enough to see them safely through.

However, standing in their way are a bottom placed Borussia Dortmund side who still have ambitions of going through themselves. The German team need to win by four goals and hope that Arsenal beat third placed Olympiakos, who are also eyeing second spot, if they are to extend their Champions League campaign into the New Year.

Nevertheless, Deschamps called on his team to forget about what is happening in Athens and concentrate on getting the win they need in Germany to secure their place in the last 16. Saying that they should not have lost their last match against Olympiakos now they have to look at it to themselves to progress.

For the hosts, Dortmund's position is not so complicated as they have to win big to still be playing in the Champions League next year. Jurgen Klopp's side started it as joint leaders of the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach, but the two sides drew at the weekend and were both knocked off top spot by Bayern Munich.

Klopp is going all out for the big win as he knows that a defeat would mean no more Champions League football next season. He has stated he will pick the players whom he feel can do the job so that they can go out attacking from the start.
